Testing your Shibboleth Identity Provider (IdP)

By EssingtonITS team ·
If you are a member of the UK federation, there is a test server which you can use to see if:
  • Your server is working
  • What attributes it's releasing.
Visit https://test.ukfederation.org.uk Choose "Default DS with the UK federation CDS" On the next page, type in your organisation and it should appear on a drop-down list. Go through the signing-in process. This may redirect you to your Azure AD account if your IdP is setup to use that as the authentication source. If you successfully sign-in you should similar output as below. The above example shows the attributes that are being released. (The blue boxes are to hide the e-mail address of this test user.) Note any errors are highlighted in RED.
