PythonEngine - Pycharm Configuration

PyCharm is an integrated development environment (IDE) used in computer programming, specifically for the Python programming language. It is developed by the Czech company JetBrains (formerly known as IntelliJ). It provides code analysis, a graphical debugger, an integrated unit tester, integration with version control systems (VCSes), and supports web development with Django as well as data science with Anaconda.

When using the GL Server Python Engine unit, configuration of the PyCharm environment can be completed using the following steps.

Adding the Interpreter

1. Select the SSH interpreter from the left-hand menu.
2. Enter the host:port and username, then click next.
3. Enter your password and click next.
4. The following defaults will be accurate for the configuration; simply click next.
5. From the project properties, locate the deployment option from the left-hand menu. Click the auto detect button on the right-hand side of the dialog.
6. Click Apply.

Now that your interpreter has been configured, each time you create a new project you can select the existing interpreter.
